Smart Start Academy – Where Financial Confidence Begins

IDS Consulting’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative has officially begun its mission to equip young learners with financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills.

On 25th February 2026, Smart Start Academy, an initiative by IDS Consulting Ghana Limited, launched at Papao Community Presby Basic School, Haatso. The launch marks the beginning of a structured program aimed at empowering students, particularly those in basic six, with essential skills in money management, decision-making, and entrepreneurship skills that will serve them well into the future.

The outdoor event was filled with energy, curiosity, and engagement, bringing together students, teachers, and program facilitators. The IDS team introduced students to the program objectives and highlighted the importance of practical financial literacy, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial awareness in everyday life.

The program will run across six interactive sessions, each carefully designed to provide hands-on learning experiences. Students will be provided with workbooks and learning materials, enabling them to actively engage with the lessons and track their progress.

“We believe that introducing financial literacy at a young age can have a transformative impact on future decision-making and financial confidence,” said Mrs. Ivy Ataa Ansah, reflecting the vision behind the initiative.

To recognize effort and achievement, students will have the opportunity to receive awards for participation and outstanding contributions, including cash prizes, certificates, and educational materials.

The first session is set to commence soon, with students participating in practical exercises designed to make financial concepts tangible and relatable.

Smart Start Academy will continue to expand to additional schools, reaching more students and building a generation of confident, financially aware young leaders.
